Obituary of Pamela Jean Bucey

Pamela Jean Bucey, 88, formerly of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully at The Brennity Senior Living Center in Melbourne, FL on August 9, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Pamela was born on November 19, 1933 in Norwich, England to Leslie and Amelia Munday. She was raised and educated in Norwich along with her 7 sisters. Pamela met Daniel Bucey, who was stationed near Norwich with the US Army, and they were married in Norwich in 1953 where their daughter Rowena was later born. The family moved to Staten Island, NY in 1955 where their son Michael was born. As Dan was a career soldier, the family lived in many places including Staten Island, NY; Denton, TX; Wiesbaden, Germany; White Sands Missile Range, NM; as well as Alaska and Pennsylvania. Their final duty station was at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama and they made their home in Huntsville after Dan retired from the US Army. Pam worked in banquet services and catering in various officers’ clubs and later worked at the Huntsville Marriott for 27 years. She loved working and continued working until the Covid pandemic began, when she finally retired. She was an avid golfer who loved golfing with the ladies of the Redstone Arsenal Ladies Golf Association and continued golfing into her 80s. She had many golfing friends, several of whom stayed in touch with her up to the time of her death. Pamela is survived by her daughter Rowena (Jeffrey) Eisenbeis, grandson, Jeffrey (Brianne) Eisenbeis, Jr., her sisters Linda and Jillian, numerous nephews and nieces, and her special friend, Ruth Cupp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel John Bucey, her son, Michael John Bucey and his wife Janice, her granddaughter Brandy Miller, her mother and father and her sisters Eva, Pauline, Elaine, Mary, and Josephine. Cremation has taken place.
